The coronavirus infection in the US is breaking new records as the number is raging at a rapid pace. The US is not seeing any slowdown in the coronavirus cases and deaths due to this deadly virus. The situation has worsened in the US over the last few weeks.
A high number of people are being hospitalized due to coronavirus infection and hospitalizations have been witnessing a new high with every new day. Thanksgiving gatherings are also expected to contribute to a boom in the number of coronavirus cases. On this day, the US saw over 100,000 cases for 24 days in a row.
Until now, more than 263,000 people have died of Covid-19 in the US. After seeing no break on coronavirus infections, the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has said that nearly 60,000 people could die of Covid-19 over the next three weeks.
Dr. Jonathan Reiner, a professor of medicine at George Washington University, has said that we will be seeing around 4,000 deaths every day. And it will take the number of deaths to 60,000 in around 20 days.
Health experts have warned that the gatherings due to Thanksgiving are most likely to contribute to a massive surge in the number of coronavirus infections. Instructions and warnings were issued by the US officials to urge Americans to avoid travel and celebrate the event with their family members only.
But no positive results were seen as people didn’t pay any heed to warnings and traveled like they do in their normal routine. And it’s bad effect will be seen in the form of a surge in the number of coronavirus cases in the US.
